Time and time again, Rich Mihelic would see athletes he trained privately make game time mistakes they never made in training or practice. He knew there had to be a solution to his players' frustrations.
Rich brought in his sister Holly, a mind & energy coach, to begin working with his players. The results these athletes experienced after just one session with Holly were literally game-changing.
Together, Rich and Holly developed a method to allow any and every player seeking support to find the answers and reasoning to elevate their confidence, power and success.
Rich founded the private hockey training company Motor City Hockey in 2013. Prior to that, Rich was a trainer for the Wilkes Barre / Scranton Penguins where he led conditioning and rehab assignments for over 9 rostered NHL Pittsburgh Penguins and trained private/rookie camps for six Stanley Cup champions (Pouliot, Dumoulin, Kuhnhackl, Zatkoff, Bennett, Darling). Rich has worked with two United States Olympic Head Coaches, Dan Bylsma and Tim Taylor. He's trained over 17 players with NHL experience.
Currently, Rich trains players age 4 up to National Hockey League. He's a Skills Coach for multiple Tier I AAA and Tier II AA hockey teams across Michigan. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Business and is a certified hockey professional USA Hockey and certified USA Boxing Coach.
Holly runs a life and leadership coaching business. She has several advanced 300+ hour life coaching certifications and currently trains new life coaches through SoulYou Coaching. She is also a certified 240+ hour Kundalini Yoga teacher and trained in extensive energy work and meditation. Holly graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in broadcast journalism and has a specialization in Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Holly currently coaches individuals and groups across the nation and authors her lifestyle advice column, Hey Holl.
